Aldar Academies is looking for a Teacher - PE at Bateen World Academy, set to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities


• Plan for exceptional teaching and learning, in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy, through:

• Establishing a learning environment that fosters outstanding practice;

• Defining clear teaching and learning objectives;

• Setting precise targets that build upon students' previous achievements;

• Identifying SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students, ensuring their needs are addressed through differentiated instruction;

• Structuring lessons and learning activities that maintain pace, challenge, and engagement;

• Utilizing effective assessment for learning strategies;

• Leveraging performance data and key indicators to guide planning and deliver differentiated lessons;

• Incorporating ICT effectively to enhance learning and progress;

• Upholding discipline in alignment with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and promoting standards of punctuality, behavior, academic work, and homework;

• Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using findings to improve specific teaching and learning aspects;

• Grading student work at least biweekly and establishing progress targets according to the school's Marking Policy;

• Systematically assessing and documenting students' progress, maintaining records, and employing performance data to inform planning and learning;

• Conducting assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental, and school protocols;

• Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports to parents;

• Participating in and supporting parent/student events;

• Engaging in subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work;

• Keeping subject knowledge current through CPD and professional literature;

• Contributing to the school's CAS Programme by leading or supporting one after-school activity each term (CAS does not include I/GCSE and IB DP Revision/Booster Sessions);

• Serving as an Academic Mentor and Extended Essay Supervisor for Year 12/13 students;

• Performing duties as part of the staff duty schedule;

• Covering for absent colleagues;

• Supervising examinations as needed to assist the Examinations Officer and Summer Examination Schedule;

• Fulfilling any other responsibilities assigned by the Principal.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject area, along with a PGCE or other teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience

• A minimum of two years of teaching experience.

• Experience teaching across a diverse ability range with documented success;

• Background in multiple international schools;

• Experience teaching IB and I/GCSE;

• Familiarity with UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations;

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
