Aldar Academies is on the lookout for a Design Technology Teacher for Bateen World Academy, set to begin in the 2026-2027 academic year.

As a distinguished institution, the school offers the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from FS1 to Year 6, alongside the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for Years 12 and 13. Teaching and Learning Responsibilities:

• Exhibit a thorough understanding of the Curriculum for effective implementation aligned with learning outcomes.
• Utilize suitable syllabi, materials, and work schemes to enhance students' skills in science specialisms.
• Arrange the classroom and learning resources to create displays that foster a positive and engaging atmosphere.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that address the diverse needs of all students within the class.
• Consistently and effectively plan lessons and sequences for long, medium, and short-term goals to cater to individual learning requirements.
• Foster a learning environment conducive to exceptional educational practices.
• Inspire students through enjoyable and innovative lessons that challenge them and promote critical thinking.
• Establish clear teaching and learning objectives and ensure student success in achieving these goals.
• Reflect on classroom practices, the lessons taught, and the progress made, adjusting the environment, planning, and curriculum accordingly.
• Support SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students, ensuring their needs are met through tailored differentiation.
• Facilitate Hybrid / Distance Learning / Face-to-Face lessons.

Behavior Management and Duties:

• Adhere to the school's established policies and procedures, such as behavior management, code of conduct, and child safeguarding policies.
• Effectively manage classes by employing approaches suited to students' needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and acting decisively when required, in line with school policies.
• Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the expected attitudes, values, and behaviors.
• Maintain high expectations for student conduct, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic growth of all students.
• Perform duties as assigned, following the school's established policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience: At least 2 years in a similar teaching role.

• Experience working with EAL (English as an Additional Language) students.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
