Your role will be to inspire, engage, and challenge students during their formative years by fostering a nurturing and play-based learning environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and inclusive learning experiences that ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and support students in their academic, social, and personal growth.

Main Responsibilities:

Key Tasks:

- Deliver lessons that motivate students to excel and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Engage in teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Cultivate positive relationships within the school community.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to design engaging lessons that adhere to curriculum standards.
- Liaise with colleagues and demonstrate flexibility in your work.
- Partner with parents to ensure the happiness and academic success of all children.
- Work cooperatively with curriculum support staff (when applicable) to enhance children’s development.

Specific Duties:

Teaching and Learning:

- Maintain a clear understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Plan, prepare, and present lessons that cater to the diverse needs of all students in the class.
- Inspire pupils through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching.
- Observe and assess students in accordance with school assessment protocols.
- Reflect on classroom practices, lessons taught, and student progress, adjusting the learning environment, planning, and curriculum as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists as required.
- Ensure the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes are integrated throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

- Assume responsibility for the progress of your class.
- Meet the requirements for assessing and recording student development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provision, and interventions.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent-Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

- Adhere to the school's behavior policy.
- Manage the classroom effectively, employing strategies that are suited to students' individual needs to inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
- Foster positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively within the school's behavioral framework when necessary.
- Serve as a positive role model and consistently demonstrate the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
- Maintain high expectations for behavior, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
- Fulfill duties as directed within the school's policy guidelines.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

- Collaborate as part of a curriculum action group to support planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to that team.
- Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities that may take place on weekends or evenings.
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student achievements and wellbeing, utilizing school systems such as CPOMS as appropriate.
- Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly extracurricular activity each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or other teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

- Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to educating the whole child.

- Active and ongoing involvement in extracurricular activities.

- A positive and solution-oriented approach to work.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
