ROLE SUMMARY:

Located in Cascais, King's College School is a prestigious institution within the Inspired Education Group, recognized as a leading international school in the Lisbon region. We provide a comprehensive global education based on the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, complemented by a bilingual Portuguese–English program through Year 5. Our dedication to academic excellence and holistic growth equips students for success in top universities around the globe.

We are on the lookout for a passionate and effective Teacher of Media Studies (A Level) and English to join our team for the upcoming academic year. This role involves initiating our A Level Media Studies program next year for a select group of students eager to pursue this subject. The successful candidate will be part of our English department and will also be responsible for teaching several English classes across the Senior School. We invite applications from experienced teachers of Media Studies (A Level) who can also teach an additional subject outside of English; this should be clearly indicated in candidates’ CVs and Cover Letters.

You will create engaging and motivating lessons in both Media Studies and English, encouraging critical thinking, analytical abilities, creativity, and a deep understanding of media, culture, and literature. As part of the Inspired global network, you will enjoy the support of your colleagues and access to extensive professional development opportunities, while also contributing to the broader academic and pastoral life of the school.

Additionally, you might be interested in attending our in-person Inspired Careers Event in London on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
