About This Role
Yas School is on the lookout for an exceptional Cycle 2 & 3 English Teacher to enhance our team starting in August 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027, or potentially earlier.
This is a remarkable chance to be part of a leading government school in Abu Dhabi, dedicated to merging Emirati cultural values with contemporary global standards to deliver an outstanding educational experience for our students. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about embodying our school’s values while appreciating the rich culture and heritage of the UAE. Yas School implements the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum, with a strong emphasis on inclusive education, enrichment, and preparing learners for the future. Established in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school, providing education to over 1750 boys and girls on our expansive campus.
We are in search of a skilled educator with experience in UK or US curricula, and preferably familiarity with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.
In this teaching role at Yas School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful lessons that promote students’ academic development, personal growth, and overall well-being. Your contributions will be vital in helping students realize their full potential, equipping them to succeed as competitive global citizens while honoring and reinforcing the UAE’s cultural heritage and Emirati identity.
As an educator, you will cultivate strong relationships and maintain open lines of communication with parents, colleagues, and students, upholding high academic and behavioral standards that align with the school’s ethos and policies. You will be dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment that inspires every student to thrive.
The successful applicant should possess:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the relevant subject area.
• A Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related discipline is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English, evidenced by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or its equivalent.
• Bilingual abilities (English & Arabic) are highly valued.
• A UAE Certified Teaching License or an equivalent qualification, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
