About This Role
Yas School is on the lookout for a highly skilled KG English Homeroom Teacher to become part of our team starting in August 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027, or possibly sooner.
This is a remarkable chance to join a prominent government institution in Abu Dhabi, dedicated to merging Emirati cultural values with contemporary global standards to deliver an outstanding educational experience for our students. We are in search of a candidate who is not only passionate about our school’s values but also appreciates the rich culture and heritage of the UAE. At Yas School, we implement the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum with a distinct emphasis on inclusive education, enrichment, and preparing learners for the future. Established in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school, currently serving over 1750 boys and girls on our expansive campus.
We are looking for a qualified educator with a strong background in UK or US curricula, and preferably some experience with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.
In your role at Yas School, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that promote students’ academic success, personal development, and overall well-being. You will be instrumental in motivating students to achieve their utmost potential, equipping them to become competitive global citizens while honoring and reinforcing the UAE’s heritage and Emirati identity.
As a member of our teaching staff, you will actively nurture meaningful relationships and maintain open communication with parents, students, and colleagues, upholding high academic and behavioral standards that align with the school’s ethos and policies. You will be dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that inspires every student to perform at their best.
The ideal candidate should possess:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education in the relevant subject area.
• A Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related field is a plus.
• Proficiency in English (evidenced by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent).
• Bilingualism in English and Arabic is highly desirable.
• A UAE Certified Teaching License or equivalent, or be in the process of obtaining one.
• A minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
