KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver captivating and effective instruction in English Language and Literature, in alignment with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.


Design and implement engaging lessons that address varied learning needs, utilizing contemporary teaching strategies and technology.


Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, upholding high academic standards.


Provide pastoral care, fostering student well-being and working alongside the school’s well-being team.


Promote student participation in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and language-related initiatives.


Contribute to curriculum development and initiatives aimed at enhancing the school.


Foster a positive classroom atmosphere with high expectations for behavior and discipline.


Collaborate with colleagues to share effective practices and support professional development objectives.


Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.


Stay informed about advancements in education and participate in continuous professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A relevant degree in English Language, Literature, or a related discipline, along with a valid teaching qualification.


Experience teaching English, preferably with familiarity with the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.


The ability to inspire and engage students, instilling a passion for language and literature.


Strong skills in differentiating instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.


Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build solid relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.


Experience in leveraging technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.


A commitment to ongoing professional development.


A solid understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
