About This Role
Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, in collaboration with King's College School, Wimbledon and RDFZ Beijing, is on the lookout for a Teacher of Secondary English (IGCSE and A-Level) to join our esteemed educational community starting in August 2026.
At Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, the English curriculum inspires a passion for language and literature from Primary through A-Level. Our dedicated English educators assist students in honing their reading, writing, speaking, and analytical abilities while nurturing creativity and critical thought. From foundational literacy to advanced IGCSE and A-Level coursework, students develop the confidence to articulate their ideas, appreciate a variety of viewpoints, and engage with literature and communication in ways that equip them for academic achievement and life beyond the classroom.
Senior School
In Grade 9, after completing the mandatory Chinese curriculum, Chinese students transition to our International Curriculum Centre. Here, they receive a tailored program focused on enhancing their English proficiency, paving the way for enrollment in CIE A-level courses in Grades 11 and 12.
In Grade 11, students are assigned to English and mathematics classes based on their proficiency level. Chinese remains a compulsory subject for native students. Moreover, students have the option to select five subjects at the ‘AS level’ from science, humanities, and aesthetics, before advancing to the study of three to five ‘A2’ subjects, in addition to English at the appropriate level.
