As a Year 5 Primary Teacher, you will be key in creating a lively and engaging learning environment that inspires students to explore and excel across all subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver stimulating lessons across all subject areas, with a focus on mathematics and sciences.
  • Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that ignites a love for learning.
  • Develop and implement captivating lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Year 5 students.
  • Promote a culture of inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking among your students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing environment where children from various backgrounds can succeed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
  • Actively participate in the school’s co-curricular programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential.
  • An EU passport or the right to work in Spain is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education or a related field is required.
  • A valid Teaching Qualification such as PGCE/BEd or equivalent, recognized by the EU.
  • Substantial experience in international schools, demonstrating a successful track record of teaching primary students within the British Curriculum.
  • A genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for teaching mathematics and sciences.
  • Strong skills in fostering inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based, and research-based learning, and their application in real-world contexts.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching experiences.
  • Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in primary education.
