As we approach our 19th anniversary in August 2026, Victoria International School of Sharjah (VISS) takes pride in its remarkable journey since the initial campus opened in September 2007 in Al Taawun with fewer than 200 students. VISS has grown into a distinguished educational establishment, now consisting of 2 IB World Schools and 3 Regional Schools, offering the Australian (Victorian) Curriculum from KG through Grade 12, including the IB Diploma Programme. Presently, VISS supports over 5,000 students across five campuses.

We are seeking a talented and committed School Counsellor to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will focus on fostering the social, emotional, and psychological wellbeing of students, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to access their learning.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning aligned with the curriculum
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, emphasizing student wellbeing and safety
- Evaluate and track student progress while providing constructive feedback
- Build positive relationships with parents and colleagues
- Engage in school initiatives and contribute to continual improvement efforts
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English
- Experience in a school counselling setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding practices and student wellbeing
- Preference given to candidates with prior experience in the Middle East
