To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Physics Teacher.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Physics, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.

  • Plan and execute dynamic lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating modern teaching strategies, practical experiments, and technology.

  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards.

  • Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team.

  • Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, cultural events, and STEM-related projects, including physics clubs or competitions.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with high standards of behaviour and discipline.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals.

  • Engage parents and stakeholders through regular communication about student progress.

  • Stay current with educational advancements and participate in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related field, plus a valid teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Physics, ideally with knowledge of the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programmes.

  • Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving.

  • Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Experience using technology, laboratory work, and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
