Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field
  • An accredited teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent
  • An additional qualification in EAL or language acquisition is advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting students with English as an additional language
  • Experience in leading or coordinating EAL services or a similar inclusion role
  • A thorough understanding of second language acquisition and effective EAL strategies
  • Experience working with multilingual learners in an international educational context
  • Ability to create and implement a comprehensive EAL strategy and provision for the entire school
  • Strong classroom management skills, including co-teaching and in-class support models
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
