Aldar Education is seeking an exceptional Teacher of Further Mathematics (A-Levels) to join Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, with the position commencing in the academic year 2026-2027.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the academy in achieving its overall vision and strategic objectives while contributing to the targets set forth in the academy’s improvement plan and self-evaluation document.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, as well as academy policies concerning safe working practices and equal opportunities.
  • Adhere to the academy’s Performance Management Policy by establishing challenging annual goals and undertaking the role of performance management reviewer when requested by the Principal.
  • Engage in annual training related to child protection, safeguarding, and health and safety, along with any additional training necessary for the academy’s improvement or performance management.
  • Attend all staff meetings and briefings.
  • Create a conducive environment for exceptional teaching and learning.
  • Define clear teaching objectives and outline their delivery and assessment methods.
  • Assign challenging tasks to students that promote high levels of engagement.
  • Establish clear goals that build on students’ prior knowledge.
  • Identify students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those who exhibit exceptional abilities.
  • Deliver structured lessons that maintain pace, motivation, and challenge.
  • Use assessments effectively to ensure comprehensive coverage of the curriculum.
  • Utilize performance data and key indicators to inform planning, delivering differentiated learning tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure effective teaching practices and optimal use of instructional time.
  • Maintain a productive learning environment in accordance with academy procedures, promoting positive behaviors in punctuality, conduct, work standards, and homework.
  • Employ various teaching methods to:
    • Align approach with content, organize information, present key concepts, and use appropriate vocabulary.
    • Implement effective questioning techniques, listen actively to students, and address errors and misconceptions.
    • Select appropriate learning resources and foster study skills through library, I.C.T., and other educational technologies.
    • Ensure students acquire and reinforce knowledge, skills, and understanding pertinent to the subject matter.
    • Critically assess personal teaching practices to improve effectiveness.
    • Evaluate and monitor students’ work, setting targets for their progression.
    • Systematically track and document students' progress.
