INTRODUCTION:

SNA Marianapolis International School – Bien Hoa Campus is the premier fully international educational establishment in Bien Hoa city and Dong Nai province, marking the second addition to the SNA International Schools System, which is managed by Nguyen Hoang Education Cooperation. The school launched its first academic year in 2021 and currently serves over 500 students.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The chosen candidate will ensure that all students receive an outstanding education consistent with the Advanced Placement curriculum.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
• Motivate students to engage with learning through dynamic and interactive activities and discussions
• Assess and document student performance, providing grades and constructive feedback
• Maintain a tidy and organized classroom environment that enhances learning
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by applying approved disciplinary strategies
• Participate in faculty meetings and pursue professional development opportunities
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies, such as inquiry-based learning, group discussions, lectures, and exploration methods, to facilitate active student engagement

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a Social Studies Teacher or in a related role
• Valid teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Social Studies or a related field
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Thorough understanding of teaching methodologies and learning styles
• Proficiency in using classroom technology
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in a creative and impactful way

Physical Requirements (if any):

• Extended periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer, along with standing to deliver lessons.
• Capability to move around the campus, including climbing stairs multiple times a day, and adjusting one’s posture by bending, leaning, or sitting on the floor to connect with students.
