Secondary Psychology Teacher
About This Role
Job Purpose:
To provide education to students within the institution and undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the Administration.
Job Overview:
A secondary school teacher is accountable for delivering instruction in one or several subjects from the curriculum to students in Years 7 through 13.
Teachers are encouraged to infuse creativity, humor, and innovative concepts into their lesson plans and schemes of work, fostering a dynamic learning atmosphere. This strategy is designed to boost student engagement and promote effective classroom interactions.
They are responsible for tracking, motivating, and recording the progress of each student, as well as tailoring and modifying resources as necessary, which may include the use of technological tools. It is crucial for teachers to remain updated on developments in their subject areas, new teaching resources, and school-wide programs.
Teachers also interact and communicate with fellow education professionals, as well as parents and guardians, in both formal and informal contexts.
Main Subjects: IGCSE & IBDP Psychology
Qualifications:
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field, along with a teaching certificate or license (PGCE / PGDE)
- At least 2 years of relevant full-time teaching experience as a certified educator
- Experience or qualifications in IB DP are preferred
