Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, expertly tailored to respect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. We provide a seamless educational journey from Early Years through to Sixth Form, combining academic excellence with strong pastoral care and an emphasis on personal development.

At every educational level, the DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, engaging, and challenging, merging academic rigor with elements of leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Ideal candidates must have:

• A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor’s in Education or an equivalent qualification.

• A valid teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be backed by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).

• Extensive subject knowledge, with considerable experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.

• Experience in delivering International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level programs.

• A proven track record of achieving outstanding teaching and learning results.

• A strong commitment to engaging with the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
