We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join us from August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School, delivering high-quality PE lessons and inspiring students across the primary years to develop a love of sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students’ physical skills, teamwork, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, resilience, and enjoyment of sport. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with the primary curriculum, ensuring progression in students’ physical development and skills.
Create a positive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages participation and promotes healthy lifestyles.
Assess, monitor, and record student progress in physical skills and development.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and confidence through sport and physical activity.
Support and contribute to school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives and events.
Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching Physical Education in Primary School.
Strong knowledge of physical education, sport, and child physical development.
A high level of English proficiency, with excellent communication skills.
A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive participation in sport.
A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including sports programmes and extracurricular activities.
