We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join us from August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School, delivering high-quality PE lessons and inspiring students across the primary years to develop a love of sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students’ physical skills, teamwork, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

 

You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, resilience, and enjoyment of sport. As part of the Inspired global network, you will benefit from excellent teaching resources, a collaborative and supportive team, and ongoing professional development opportunities, while contributing positively to the wider academic and pastoral life of the school.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with the primary curriculum, ensuring progression in students’ physical development and skills.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and active learning environment that encourages participation and promotes healthy lifestyles.

  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress in physical skills and development.

  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and confidence through sport and physical activity.

  • Support and contribute to school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives and events.

  • Contribute to the pastoral life of the school, promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching Physical Education in Primary School.

  • Strong knowledge of physical education, sport, and child physical development.

  • A high level of English proficiency, with excellent communication skills.

  • A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive participation in sport.

  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including sports programmes and extracurricular activities.

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
