EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: PRIMARY/JUNIOR TEACHERS for the 2025-2026 School Year

POSITION SUMMARY: The full-time Teacher will implement a thorough instructional program while maintaining a disciplined and orderly atmosphere in both the classroom and the school. This position entails conducting assessments and evaluations of students under the direction of the Classroom Teacher and Principal, in accordance with the policies and regulations established by the Hishkoonikun Education Authority. The Teacher will develop lesson plans and work schemes that align with curriculum objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching all components of the primary curriculum.
  • Taking responsibility for the academic advancement of a specific class.
  • Utilizing classroom and educational resources to cultivate a positive learning environment.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that accommodate the varied abilities present in the classroom.
  • Motivating students through engaging and imaginative presentations.
  • Maintaining discipline within the classroom.
  • Preparing materials that support the positive development of students.
  • Meeting the standards for assessing and documenting student progress.
  • Providing parents with updates on their child's achievements during parent evenings and other meetings.
  • Coordinating activities and resources within a particular curricular area while assisting colleagues in this specialized field.
  • Collaborating with others to effectively plan and manage work.
  • Keeping abreast of updates and modifications to the curriculum structure.
  • Participating in school events and activities, which may take place on weekends or evenings.
  • Working with colleagues and adapting flexibly, especially in smaller educational settings.
  • Ensuring that student growth and achievement are consistent and appropriate for their age group, subject area, and program classification.
  • Implementing instructional activities that foster a dynamic and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Identifying, selecting, and adapting instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those from varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special requirements.
  • Establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with students, parents, and the school community.
