About This Role
Role Overview
In this role, you will be teaching MYP Sciences with an emphasis on Physics and DP Physics through inquiry-driven learning, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications. You will be responsible for nurturing students' scientific reasoning, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Create and execute integrated MYP and DP units that meet IB standards and assessment criteria.
Ensure safe and impactful laboratory experiences while enhancing students' skills in data collection, interpretation, and evaluation.
Supervise DP Internal Assessments, guaranteeing that investigations are ethical and genuine.
Employ low-stakes quizzes and constructive feedback to improve student retention and readiness for examinations.
Collaborate on vertical alignment, development of laboratory resources, and STEM-related extracurricular programs.
Qualifications & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related field, along with a teaching qualification or license, is required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with IB MYP and DP, and knowledge of MYP eAssessment and DP examinations.
Demonstrated ability to engage a diverse array of learners through inquiry-based methods and practical applications of physics.
A strong commitment to laboratory safety, safeguarding practices, and inclusive teaching methodologies.
