ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
Berens River School caters to students from Nursery through Grade 9, with a total enrollment of approximately 400. The community of Berens River, which has around 3,546 residents, is located on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, about a four-hour drive north of Winnipeg. This charming lakeside town offers various community amenities, including a general store, Northern store, and community hall. The surrounding area is rich in recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, and canoeing.

WHAT YOU BRING
• A Bachelor of Education Degree and a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one).
• A solid understanding of provincial curricula.
• Prior teaching experience.
• Familiarity with technology used in educational settings.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset).
• Experience in a northern community (considered an asset).
