About This Role

British International School of Tbilisi (BIST) is eager to welcome enthusiastic and dedicated educators to join our vibrant independent school community. Currently, we cater to around 500 students aged 3 to 18 from more than 54 different countries. Our contemporary purpose-built campus spans over 15,000 square meters, beautifully located next to a serene lake and overlooking the city. Our advanced facilities are designed to foster innovative teaching and learning in the 21st century. We offer a creative and adaptable curriculum that combines the English National Curriculum with the International Primary Curriculum, leading to Cambridge IGCSE and A Levels during Key Stages 4 and 5. BIST holds Patron's Accredited Membership with the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).

We currently have an opening for the following position, primarily due to the expansion of our school: we are looking for a qualified Mathematics Teacher to start in August 2026. Experience in teaching A Level Mathematics is essential, and familiarity with Further Mathematics is a plus but not a requirement.

At BIST, both students and staff are passionate about engaging with the wider community through our diverse BIST community programs. All teachers are expected to actively participate in our cross-curricular days and weeks, contribute to our varied extra-curricular activities, and support the PSHE program. Secondary educators will be responsible for teaching their subject up to A Level and preparing students for admission into prestigious universities worldwide.

Ideal candidates will possess recent experience in the UK or international settings, exhibit high motivation and excellent organizational skills, and hold UK qualifications or their international equivalents. Familiarity with the advantages and challenges of residing in a rapidly developing country is beneficial.

Our staff at BIST benefit from a dynamic and supportive work environment, with compensation and working conditions that are competitive with other international schools in the area. Our net pay scales surpass those in the UK and are supplemented with relocation allowances to and from Georgia, an annual airfare, a health and wellness package, a housing allowance, and the chance to live and work in a beautiful and culturally rich country. BIST is dedicated to the professional growth of our staff, offering an annual CPD allowance. Successful candidates will join a team of passionate and dedicated professionals at this well-regarded and popular school.

Apply via the WhatSchool platform.
