About This Role

Job Summary: Founded in 2015, Anne Hill International offers international education for children aged 2-13 and is on the verge of launching its secondary school campus. Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality international education, while our vision focuses on cultivating well-rounded, globally minded, lifelong learners.

Currently, our institution caters to approximately 350 students from 30 different nations, supported by a dedicated team of 30 educators from diverse backgrounds.

The new secondary school campus is scheduled to open in August 2026, featuring a curriculum that integrates the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary, ultimately leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). We proudly hold membership in the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Position Responsibilities

We are in search of a Teacher of Mandarin (Primary and Secondary) who can initiate and develop programs in an expanding educational environment.

All teachers are expected to engage in the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and contribute to the after-school activities program.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Teachers are accountable for the academic success and pastoral care of their students, adhering to the school’s Guiding Statements, curriculum, and policies.

  • Setting high expectations to inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
    • Create a positive, secure, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages students, supports risk-taking in their learning, and fosters confidence.
    • Design lessons with clear objectives that enhance active engagement, independence, collaboration, and connections across subjects.
    • Uphold high expectations consistently through strong relationships and inclusive practices.
  • Promoting continuous progress and outcomes for all students.
    • Understand student needs to tailor learning experiences, using curriculum sequencing and prior knowledge to support their advancement.
    • Inspire students to reflect, take responsibility, and cultivate conscientious attitudes towards independent work and study.
  • Demonstrating proficient knowledge of the subject and curriculum.
    • Develop learning experiences that reinforce concepts, spark interest, and challenge students.
    • Continuously improve professional skills through ongoing development, applying this knowledge to classroom practices with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and the significance of scholarship.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons.
    • Design and deliver engaging, purposeful lessons tailored to diverse student needs, with clearly defined goals, constructive feedback, and evidence-based strategies to promote progress.
    • Encourage positive classroom relationships and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent, student-centered approach that supports both learning and well-being.
  • Tailoring instruction to the strengths and needs of students.
    • Work with students to set clear, meaningful goals and adjust lessons based on individual needs through various strategies such as differentiation, questioning, active learning, and technology.
    • Utilize assessments, feedback, and reflections to inform instruction, support student growth, and foster an inclusive environment where all learners feel valued and challenged.
  • Effectively using assessment.
    • Systematically assess student learning through various methods, providing clear feedback that aids improvement and progress.
    • Consistently apply assessment data to inform instruction, guide planning, and ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Ensuring quality provision.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, providing clear feedback and guidance.
    • Prepare and utilize resources that align with student needs and involve support staff in planning and instruction.
    • Manage time effectively and complete academic reporting diligently through updates, reports, and parent communication.
