About This Role

Role Overview

Create a supportive, language-rich atmosphere for early childhood that combines inquiry, play, and fundamental skill development. Facilitate the comprehensive growth of each child through meaningful interactions, organized routines, and intentional provocations aligned with the PYP Early Years framework.

Primary Duties

  • Design captivating, inquiry-based learning experiences with a robust focus on literacy and numeracy fundamentals.
  • Employ observation, documentation, and ongoing resources to determine and assist the next stages of learning.
  • Connect with families to provide updates on student progress and offer strategies for enhancing learning at home.
  • Collaborate with assistants and specialists to improve inclusion and promote student wellbeing.
  • Engage in PYP planning, moderation, and initiatives that focus on the continuous enhancement of early years education.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education (or PGCE/teaching license).
  • Preferred qualifications include experience or training in IB PYP Early Years and within international school environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in play-based teaching strategies and early literacy and numeracy development.
  • A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
