About This Role
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is on the lookout for a full-time Junior High teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent school, Christian Life School (CLS) proudly serves a dynamic and diverse community of around 150 students, from Kindergarten through Junior High. Our passionate staff is dedicated to motivating and guiding learners to achieve their utmost potential, encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones for both academic success and personal development.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one)
- Consistency with our doctrinal statement, mission, and educational philosophies grounded in our Christian faith-based approach and policies
- Adaptability to take on various course assignments as needed (minimum requirement includes a minor in a teachable subject recognized by the BC Ministry of Education at the secondary level)
- Experience in tailoring and adjusting curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong classroom management skills and strategies that promote an effective learning atmosphere and respect for student dignity
- Dedication to implementing school initiatives and objectives within the classroom
- Ability to work with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Willingness to engage in a collaborative model with staff for school improvement and ongoing professional development
