The Role:

As the Head of Science, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading initiatives to enhance student engagement and school spirit.
  • Supporting enrichment activities and school events.
  • Improving parental involvement through effective communication and progress updates.
  • Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
  • Encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
  • Utilizing data-driven approaches to address diverse learning requirements.
  • Integrating digital resources to enrich learning experiences.
  • Acting as a Form Tutor and contributing to the A-Level curriculum.
  • Creating and implementing lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
  • Ensuring thorough assessment and prompt feedback.
  • Participating in curriculum innovation and quality assurance efforts.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Reflecting on practices to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Upholding school values and fostering a positive school culture.
  • Adapting to work flexibly, efficiently, and effectively within a fast-paced environment.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for employment (holding a bachelor’s degree and possessing at least two years of relevant experience).
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, along with a willingness to engage in necessary child protection training.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
