About This Role

ENGAGEMENT AND INTERACTION – SCHOOL AMBASSADOR TO INTERNAL COMMUNITY

- Build trust and confidence among students, staff, and parents.
- Inspire and engage students in their learning journey.
- Develop a cohesive teaching team and create an environment conducive to their success.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of student learning experiences.
- Utilize the student tracking and monitoring system to foster student achievement and enhance professional practices in alignment with the school's objectives.
- Play an integral role in the planning for school improvement and development, while advocating for the learning goals set forth in the school development plan.
- Ensure the department/faculty operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and utilize resources that facilitate high-quality learning for students.
- Uphold and promote the school's broader mission and values.

PLANNING, PREPARATION AND TEACHING

- Provide instruction that empowers students to achieve their highest potential by:
- Designing effective teaching programs that deliver exceptional learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.
- Implementing the integrated arts curriculum developed in collaboration with The Juilliard School.
- Effectively identifying and addressing individual learning needs.
- Maintaining high standards of behavior and discipline within the classroom.
- Utilizing homework and extra-curricular learning opportunities effectively.
- Creating a purposeful and secure learning atmosphere.
- Leveraging modern technology to enhance the educational experience.
- Engaging with the Nord Anglia Education Global Campus online platform.
- Employing formative and summative assessments to create challenging learning opportunities for all students.
- Monitoring and documenting students’ progress to ensure they are on track to achieve their ambitious goals.
- Communicating progress to relevant stakeholders.

PASTORAL DUTIES

- Establish a purposeful and secure learning environment for all students.
- Support the academic progress and well-being of individual students and tutor groups as applicable.
- Assist in developing action plans and other support mechanisms.
- Inform relevant staff about students' challenges and propose possible solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with students' parents, coordinating with other staff as necessary.
- Contribute to PSHCE initiatives in line with school policy.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

- Enrich the school community beyond the classroom environment.
- Lead one or more agreed-upon after-school activities each week.
- Participate in residential weeks and other trips as required.
- Engage in school-wide learning initiatives throughout the term.
- Be involved in and supervise all school productions.

LEADERSHIP

- Mentor, coach, and support subject teachers in reaching their full potential.
- Encourage accountability for outcomes.
- Serve as a positive role model.
- Drive transformative change within the faculty.
- Oversee the provision of peripatetic music, dance, and drama instructors.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Teaching certification in the relevant subject area and grade level.
- A Master of Education degree is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in international education.
- Relevant professional development in the education sector.
- Experience with IBDP, A-levels, or similar curricula.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for creating reports and presentations.
- Excellent cross-cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills for working with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Strong analytical abilities, paired with a passion for demonstrating and measuring success.
- Results-oriented, consistently aligning efforts with established KPIs.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A desire to work in a mission-driven environment.
