About This Role

Purpose of Role

Key Responsibilities for ISP Teacher

  • Develop lesson plans that are in line with the school's established standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Adapt and update lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, incorporate new policies, include relevant updates, and utilize the latest educational practices.
  • Adjust the curriculum to address student needs while ensuring that the entire class progresses effectively.
  • Maintain and continually improve a comprehensive understanding of curriculum programs and frameworks.
  • Assess and record student progress, pinpointing areas that require enhancement or additional support.
  • Promote a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with fellow staff who work with students.
  • Engage regularly with parents in accordance with school protocols, including providing updates on student progress and addressing any necessary disciplinary issues.
  • Manage a diverse range of student ability levels.
  • Maintain order and discipline in the classroom while ensuring safety and adherence to school policies and rules.
  • Participate in professional development seminars as needed.
  • Attend and actively contribute to school meetings that address curriculum, organizational, and policy updates.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by your direct supervisor or the Deputy Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a native English speaker and possess a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a Bachelor of Arts, along with an internationally recognized teaching certification such as PGCE/PGCertEd/QTS.
  • Have a minimum of three years of international teaching experience, preferably at the primary level.
  • Maintain a clear criminal record.
