Early Years Class Teacher

Key Information

• Position: Early Years Teacher (Aged 4)
• Contract Type: Temporary (Full-Time)
• Duration: Spring and Summer Terms 2027 (January 2027 - August 2027)
• Location: Putnoe Primary School, Bedford, UK

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver Inspiring Learning: Plan and deliver creative, play-based lessons aligned with the EYFS statutory framework to support the development of 4-year-olds.
• Foster a Nurturing Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and happy classroom culture that encourages curiosity, independence, and social development.
• Track & Assess Progress: Monitor child development through accurate observations and assessments, tailoring support to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with early years teaching assistants, parents, and carers to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's growth and transition.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized Early Years qualification.
• Experience: Proven experience working within an EYFS setting, ideally with children aged 4.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
• Safeguarding: A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enhanced DBS check required.
