About This Role

Welcome to Stoneferry Primary School

A safe and happy environment for our children... and a supportive and rewarding place to work

At Stoneferry Primary School, we are committed to creating a safe, happy and inclusive community where every child is valued and encouraged to succeed. We have high expectations for all our pupils and work hard to give them the knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities they need to fulfil their potential.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher who shares our belief that every child can succeed and who is committed to making a positive difference to children's lives. In return, you will join a caring and supportive team that works collaboratively to provide the very best education and opportunities for our pupils.

Our school commitment is built around four important principles: Raising Ambition, being Responsible, Reflective and Respectful. These values are woven through every aspect of school life, helping our children to become confident learners who take pride in their achievements, learn from their experiences, care for others and respect the diverse people and communities around them.

Our dedicated and supportive staff work together to provide engaging learning experiences while recognising the individual needs of every child. We believe strongly in removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially and personally. We are equally committed to supporting our staff through collaboration, professional development and a culture where everyone is encouraged to grow and succeed.

We recognise that children achieve their best when school, families and the wider community work together. We therefore value the support and involvement of our parents and carers and are proud to offer a friendly, welcoming and inclusive school community in which everyone has an important part to play.

If you are an enthusiastic teacher who shares our values and ambition for every child, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious Upper KS2 teacher looking for your next opportunity?

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring teacher to join Appleton Primary School from January 2027 on a temporary maternity cover contract.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations, strong curriculum knowledge and successful experience in Year 5 and/or Year 6. They will be passionate about raising achievement, committed to teamwork and keen to contribute to the wider life and continued improvement of the school.

Opportunities to lead curriculum areas and undertake short-term TLR3 projects may be available.

In return, we offer a welcoming and supportive environment, fantastic pupils, dedicated colleagues and excellent professional development opportunities.
