Casual Farm Assistant

About this Role

We are seeking a reliable Casual Farm Assistant to join our team at Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls. In this role, you will take responsibility for the care, health, and maintenance of our farm animals during half-term breaks, working under the guidance of the Farm and Enrichment Leader.

The successful candidate will:

• A genuine love of animals and confidence handling species ranging from poultry to ponies.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to complete physical outdoor farm duties.
• Commitment to school health, safety, welfare, and safeguarding policies.
• The successful candidate will be based at Frances Bardsley Academy and become part of an oversubscribed, flourishing school for girls aged 11 to 18, with confident, courteous, articulate students and an ethos in empowerment. The school has a positive environment, with dedicated and supportive colleagues who strive for excellence.
