About This Role
GEMS Al Barsha National School is looking for a skilled Assistant Principal to join the Secondary leadership team for the upcoming academic year.
In the role of Secondary Assistant Principal, you will be instrumental in promoting the school’s vision, core values, mission, aims, and policies. Your focus will be on enhancing the leadership and management within the school while striving to uphold the highest standards in teaching, learning, curriculum, student performance, and pastoral care within the secondary team.
The responsibilities of the Assistant Principal include:
- Actively participating in strategic planning and self-evaluation processes for the school.
- Leading and managing teaching and learning, curriculum development, target-setting, assessment, tracking, and reporting within the secondary team.
- Taking a prominent role in curriculum development in collaboration with senior and middle leaders, as well as all teaching staff.
- Collaborating with the senior leadership team to oversee target-setting, assessment, and data tracking within the secondary team.
- Being accountable for the standards of attainment, progress, achievement, and behavior of the secondary team, monitoring and assessing progress in these areas and identifying further actions for enhancement.
- Possessing a thorough understanding of the KHDA/DSIB UAE Inspection Framework and Supplement, UAE Vision 2021, and the National Agenda, utilizing these to bolster leadership and management within the secondary team.
