About This Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Apprentice Science Technician (Chemistry) to join our Science Department and play a crucial role in enhancing teaching and learning throughout the School. In collaboration with our teaching staff, you will deliver comprehensive technical support, which includes the preparation, maintenance, and organization of materials and equipment, ensuring that practical science lessons are conducted smoothly and safely.
This position is an ideal chance for individuals at the start of their career or those seeking a new direction, eager to develop their skills within a nurturing educational environment. The chosen candidate will be guided through a formal apprenticeship program that merges hands-on experience with structured training and development. Additionally, you will receive mentoring and support that will help you gain confidence and expertise in a dynamic and successful department.
We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities, remaining calm under pressure, and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. This is a full-time position, available during term time only (34 weeks), requiring a commitment of 37 hours per week. The working hours are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and until 4:00 pm on Fridays. A competitive apprenticeship salary of approximately £12,500 per annum (actual) is offered, depending on your qualifications, skills, and experience.
