Aldar Education is actively looking for an exceptional Head of Key Stage 2 to join Noya British School in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Key Responsibilities


• Formulate and execute policies and practices within the department that align with the School's vision, objectives, dedication to high achievement standards, and effective teaching and learning methodologies.

• Establish, oversee, and assess short, medium, and long-term plans for departmental development.

• Utilize data efficiently to pinpoint students who may be underperforming in the department; devise and implement strategies to support these students.

• Analyze and interpret relevant school data to inform departmental policies and contribute to the school’s SEF documentation.

• Ensure the development, implementation, and regular evaluation of appropriate schemes of work for all year groups and courses. These should include adequate provisions for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL students.

• Guarantee curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all students within the department, including those with high abilities and those with special educational needs.

• Set clear expectations for staff regarding achievement standards, teaching quality, and behavior.

• Assess the quality of teaching and learning within the department to identify successful practices and areas needing improvement, and take steps to enhance teaching and learning quality.

• Ensure the department actively contributes to the school's CAS Programme and provides after-school Booster/Revision Sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP courses.

• Manage team performance following the school’s performance management policy.

• Optimize the deployment of staff and resources effectively and efficiently.

• Maintain effective management of the Department's Resource and CapEx budgets.

• Utilize accommodation effectively to foster a stimulating teaching and learning environment in line with the Learning Environment Policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or equivalent teacher qualification.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 6 years of teaching experience.

• Familiarity with the UK curriculum.

Compensation
