About This Role
The individual in this position is tasked with providing effective classroom instruction that promotes student learning and achievement while nurturing their interests and abilities through innovative activities.
Responsibilities
▪ Designs the yearly curriculum for the assigned grade level
▪ Develops lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and submits them to academic coordinators for approval
▪ Evaluates feedback from academic coordinators and makes necessary adjustments to lesson plans
▪ Stays informed about the latest instructional tools, including technology integration in the classroom, and incorporates these into teaching methods
▪ Creates stimulating and engaging learning experiences for students while cultivating an environment that supports learning
▪ Produces worksheets, handouts, and additional educational materials that align with the lesson plans and curriculum, as well as assessments and exams
▪ Ensures prompt grading and feedback on student assignments
▪ Evaluates, documents, and communicates students' development, progress, and outcomes
▪ Recognizes students who may need extra support, whether academic or otherwise, and facilitates their access to appropriate resources
▪ Participates in extracurricular activities and engages in school events such as assemblies, meetings, and conferences
▪ Maintains student safety at all times
▪ Works collaboratively with fellow educators to exchange ideas, teaching strategies, content, and professional insights
▪ Communicates with parents during Parent Teacher Meetings and as needed, providing updates and feedback on student progress
