About This Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Head of Swimming teacher to become part of our team starting in late August 2026. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Prep and Secondary Heads of Sport to advance the swimming curriculum and create pathways for both developing and elite swimmers. Alongside a limited number of direct teaching hours, this position will involve managing the daily early morning and after-school swimming clubs with fellow instructors and organizing holiday swimming camps during school breaks.
This role presents an exciting chance for a passionate and innovative educator to inspire well-motivated students in a truly international setting, while also enjoying the stunning landscapes of Kenya. Braeburn Garden Estate is a well-established institution known for its strong reputation as a premier school. The school holds BSO and CIS accreditations and is a member of IAPS.
The school is dedicated to the safeguarding of children and young people. Candidates selected for consideration will be required to provide an ICPC (if they have resided or worked in the UK) or its equivalent from their current country of employment and any others they have worked in within the last five years.
Successful applicants will be offered a two-year renewable contract, medical coverage, membership in the school pension scheme, on-site housing, and a competitive salary.
Interested candidates should send their application letter and CV, along with the names of three referees (including your current headteacher), to the Prep Headteacher, John-Paul Stansfield at john.stansfield@braeburn.ac.ke and the Secondary Headteacher, Rob Jackson at rob.jackson@braeburn.ac.ke.
Applications will be reviewed as they arrive, and the school retains the right to make an appointment before the official closing date. Please note that only those candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted.
